From Park City and the rest of Summit County, furniture goes to the Three Mile Canyon Landfill, where loads are charged by weight except freon units, tires, chipped green waste, mattresses and reuse items. Uncovered loads pay a double fee, so every load is covered.
From the Heber Valley and the rest of Wasatch County, furniture goes to the Wasatch County Solid Waste Transfer Station at $56 per ton, with a $20 minimum for a tarped or strapped load and a $25 minimum for an unsecured one. Since November 1, 2022, the station has told licensed contractors to take their loads elsewhere, so a hauled load may go to Ace Intermountain Recycling in Heber City instead; the fee is billed at cost either way.
